What to expect
Twenty minutes, start to finish. Here's the whole thing.
We arrive and set up. Your tanner texts on approach and brings everything in one trip — a pop-up tent, an extraction fan, drop sheets and disposables. Set-up takes about five minutes in a bathroom, laundry or any corner with a power point. Nothing needs moving beforehand.
You undress to whatever you're comfortable in. Most people tan in disposable underwear, which we provide. Some wear their own dark underwear or a strapless bra, some wear nothing at all — it's entirely your call. The only thing worth knowing is that whatever you wear leaves a tan line, so if you've got a particular dress in mind, tan in something similar or in nothing.
The tan takes about fifteen minutes. Your tanner talks you through each position — arms up, turn, palms out — so you're never guessing. Barrier cream goes on palms, soles, nails and cuticles, because those areas grab colour hardest. The fan runs the whole time, so there's no mist hanging in the room and no smell left behind afterwards.
You dry down, then dress. A few minutes under the fan and you're touch-dry. You'll get your rinse time before we leave, along with a reminder of what not to do in between. Payment is handled through your booking, so there's nothing to sort on the day.
We pack down and go. The tent, sheets and disposables leave with us. Your bathroom looks the way it did when we arrived — the whole point of the drop sheets is that nothing lands on your tiles or grout.

How to prep
Ninety per cent of a good tan happens before we arrive. Work backwards from your appointment.
Wax, if you're waxing
Follicles need two full days to close, otherwise you get dark speckles. Shaving at 24 hours is fine instead. Facials, laser, injectables and nails all go before the tan, never after.
Exfoliate, then stop
Oil-free scrub or a mitt. Knees, elbows, ankles, knuckles, heels — dry skin grabs colour and darkens there first. Nothing labelled moisturising or in-shower oil; the residue blocks the tan.
Clean, bare, dry
Shower, then nothing after it. No moisturiser, deodorant, perfume, sunscreen or makeup. Deodorant is the usual cause of pale or green underarms. Hair up, rings and anklets off.
Loose, dark, old
A slip dress, an oversized tee, track pants. No bras, leggings, denim or tight waistbands — elastic prints straight into a developing tan. Bare feet or thongs. Dark towel and sheets for later.
Develop, then rinse
Your tanner gives you your window — two, four, six or eight hours depending on the shade you chose. First rinse is warm water only, no soap or scrubbing. The bronze running off is guide colour, not your tan. Pat dry.
Make it last
Moisturise morning and night. Short warm showers, not long hot ones. Pat dry every time. Go gently with chlorine, spas and heavy sweating for the first day. No exfoliating until you want it gone.
Brides
Bridal runs on a different clock — when to trial, when to tan, how to handle a white dress, and what to tell your bridal party so eight people don't arrive unprepped.

Questions
How much is a spray tan in Coogee?
From $80, with no travel fee anywhere we service. Group rates lower the per-person price.
How long does it take?
About twenty minutes door to door for one person. Allow fifteen minutes per person for groups.
What do I need at home?
A space around two metres square with a power point. We bring the tent, fan and drop sheets.
What do I wear during the tan?
Whatever you're comfortable in. We provide disposable underwear, or wear your own dark underwear, or nothing — it's your call. Whatever you wear leaves a tan line, so match it to the dress you have in mind.
Will it mark my bathroom?
No. We set up inside a pop-up tent on drop sheets and take everything with us. Tiles and grout stay clean.
Will it turn me orange?
No. Orange comes from the wrong shade for your skin or a tan left far past its rinse time. Your tanner matches the solution and gives you an exact window.
How long does it last?
Five to ten days, depending on your skin and aftercare.
Can you tan a group?
Up to forty. A second tanner comes for larger groups so nobody waits.
